About Cormac McCarthy:

Through his music, Cormac McCarthy brings lyrical magic to some of the rougher edges of life. He has performed nationally throughout his career, including at Newport Folk Festival; NPR Mountain Stage Live Radio Show; WUMB Boston 10th anniversary celebration; Night of Humor and Songwriters and American Troubadours with Eric Andersen and Townes Van Zandt at Boston’s Somerville Theater; Ben & Jerry’s One World, One Heart Festival; Falcon Ridge Folk Festival; and more.

His musical influences originate from his father’s love for jazz and classical music like Errol Garner and Beethoven, and his sister who, in her college years, shared Dylan, Baez, and Eric Anderson with Cormac.

Cormac has recorded and released 5 acclaimed albums and is currently working on a new record.

“A leading light of the urban songwriter revival…a soft-spoken triumph.” – Scott Alarik, Boston Globe
