LML Book Club Q3 ~ "Bicycling Around the World" (3-part series)
Welcome to our online book club event! Join us for a thrilling adventure as we explore the world of bicycling through a 3-part series. From the bicycle-friendly streets of the Netherlands to the intense winter riding in urban Calgary and solo trek by a courageous woman traveller, we will delve into the joys and challenges of cycling around the globe. Grab your virtual passport and come along for the ride! Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity to connect with fellow book lovers and share your passion for travel and exploration.
Here are the books we'll study during Q3:
- July: Curbing Traffic: The Human Case for Fewer Cars In Our Lives by Michelle and Chris Bruntlett
- August: Frostbike: The Joy, Pain and Numbness of Winter Cycling by Tom Babin
- September: Lone Traveller: One Woman, Two Wheels and the World by Ann Mustoe
The book club will meet on Thursday evenings on Zoom from 7-8pm CST, during the months of July, August and September.
Your moderator for this book club will be Natalie Gille, Active Living Consultant with Light My Lotus LLC, and avid reader of books on leadership, communication, emotional intelligence, gender equity and on occasion, science fiction.
Members of the book club will source their own books. This is based on personal preference about how you like to consume content, which also comes with price variations depending upon your preferred source.
I'm delighted to host this book club and look forward to what we will accomplish together during this third quarter of 2025!
With gratitude, Natalie Gille, Active LIving Consultant, Light My Lotus LLC
