Beginner Class, Week 1

Brassie. The Brassie fly is a nymph pattern that imitates midge larvae, an abundant food source for trout in cold, clean water. Its copper wire body adds weight and flash, helping it sink quickly and catch the attention of fish with its natural shine. This fly is most effective when drifted near the bottom under an indicator or used as a dropper in a tandem rig. Its simplicity, durability, and lifelike appearance make it a go-to choice for year-round fishing.
