Live Jazz: Mo' Better Thursdays

Welcome to Mo’ Better Thursdays, where Charlotte’s finest musicians come together for a night of raw, unfiltered jazz. This isn’t your average setlist—this is a living, breathing jam session where the music leads and the players follow. Expect deep blues, tight funk, classic jazz, and unexpected twists, all played with masterful improvisation and pure soul.

The vibe? Cool, effortless, and electric—think underground jazz lounge meets high-energy jam session. Whether you’re a jazz purist or just here for the good vibes, this is the place to be.

No gimmicks. No pretenses. Just good music.

This event is located at THE EXCHANGE at 36TH STREET in NoDA. Never been? Imagine a Bodega where you can get everything from produce, a hand-made panini, to a cocktail. Did we mention they have $8 tequila drinks, including the infamous "ranch water".

Doors open at 7:00 p.m., the show starts at 8:00 p.m. Seating is limited, so we advise to get there early!

This event is for ages 21+

Location: 451 EAST 36TH STREET (Black Building) directly across from the Rat's Nest.

COVER: Pay $10 at the door (cash, cards, Apple Pay/Tap accepted)

Parking: There's LIMITED parking available in the back of the building (access from N. Davidson st.), across the street in the lot where Jenni's Ice Cream is, or simply find street parking. We're also right off the 36th street light rail stop.
