Live Generously Boston - Thriving through Convergence
Event Information
About this Event
Join us to celebrate a new partnership with refugees leading in the forefront of refugee work. Taste Liberian cuisine, enjoy diverse culture, and partake in an evening that will transform the way you think about the refugee experience.
On Thursday, December 5th, join the Northeast Thrivent Member Network and Converge—a new partnership between the Emmanuel Gospel Center’s Intercultural Ministries and Universal Human Rights International for an evening that will highlight refugee-centered alternatives to the refugee crisis.
We’ll hear stories from refugees themselves: how they summoned courage, sought safety, and how they are now taking initiative to support their communities. These compelling stories will challenge our understanding of what it means to be a refugee and prompt us to respond.
All are welcome, and you may bring up to four guests. However, space is limited, and registration is required. Please click on the link above to register today.
This event is part of The Northeast Thrivent Member Network's Giving Tuesday initiative. After all the helpings of grace, gratitude and gravy this Thanksgiving, join us to make a difference on Tuesday, December 3. The Northeast Thrivent Member Network is supporting those displaced by violence, natural disaster or other cause out of their control. Make a donation to support refugee-led initiatives for refugee causes by giving to the Converge partnership through Emmanuel Gospel Center's Intercultural Ministries or Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service. Thrivent will amplify your impact with a $1 donation for every $2 raised*.
*For Giving Tuesday 2019, Thrivent will donate up to $20,000 total in matching funds to organizations featured by the Thrivent Member Network - Northeast Region.
