Event description

Description

Join us for a conversation with Dr. Imani Perry, Dr. Eddie S. Glaude Jr., and Alexandra Mitchell, Reference Librarian and Archivist at the Schomburg Center, as they discuss Looking for Lorraine: The Radiant and Radical Life of Lorraine Hansberry, the first of several new biographical treatments exploring Lorraine Hansberry’s life as an activist, playwright, public intellectual and artist.

The Schomburg Center’s Manuscripts, Archives, and Rare Books Division is home to the Lorraine Hansberry Papers, which Perry extensively explored as she conducted research for her illuminating biography about Hansberry’s life.

Join the Schomburg Reading Circle for a discussion on Looking for Lorraine at Countee Cullen Library, September 29.
