BEATS N’ NEEDLES was birthed from the contents, energy, time capsules, and community left behind from the 90s. Talking bout old skool times where there were no social media documentation, home video cameras capturing action, and the events were lively & brutally authentic. Times when we had a huge clash of culture at the heart of Miami, NYC, LA where you had the modern music pioneers running the big underground music scene of hiphop & indie with all their splendor and activities in parallel play format with the artistic contributions of writers(graffiti), breakers, dancers, AV artists, Illustrators, rappers/MCs, in a highly energetic & creative environment, setting the stage for all waves of creative expression.

This program is organized to be in constant motion, from the music to the arts, it’ll all come to an end when it ends. It all intersects within the boundaries of music. It all melds, blends, and borrows from each other.
