Come out to The Lawn™ on Saturday, June 22, for our annual Little Elm Juneteenth - Freedom Walk! There will be live music brought to you by Don Diego, African Village Drummers, speakers, Freedom Walk with Juneteenth historical facts, brunch, a video from the Grandmother of Juneteenth—Miss Opal Lee, and the Four Seasons Farmers Market.

This event and Freedom Walk is free and open to everyone! Let's celebrate and educate with everyone in our community! Registering after June 12, does not guarantee your shirt size.

About the Band:

Don Diego has been traveling the world for the last 30 years, serenading fans everywhere from corporate events to festivals. The Don Diego Band is a versatile, live cover band based in Dallas-Fort Worth and is a 5-piece variety band with male and female vocals, sax, keyboards, guitar, bass, and drums playing billboard top radio, R&B, jazz standards, old school music..

The Don Diego band members are college degreed, and alums of TSU and Booker T Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. They have performed together for 30 years.

About the African Village Drummers:

The African Village Drummers is a cultural project whose purpose is to spread the experience and knowledge of West African Traditional culture in the North Texas community. This project is led by S-Ankh Rasa, a well-known and highly respected touring musician on many instruments and in many genres of music.
