Lithium-Ion Battery Response Considerations
Overview
This 4-hour course includes classroom and hands-on training to prepare responders to conduct risk-based responses to battery emergencies for Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion) batteries. The course covers batteries found in transportation, including passenger vehicles, ground transport, as well as residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
The class is being offered free of charge through a partnership between OSFM and DPSST.
It is recommended that all participants be trained at the HAZMAT Awareness level or higher prior to the class.
