The San Jose (CA) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated is hosting an Authors Literary Gala - our signature fundraising event dedicated to providing educational scholarships and supporting vital outreach programs for underserved communities in Santa Clara County. The Gala is hosted in collaboration with The Links Foundation, Incorporated.
Our theme this year is Illumination Through Storytelling and we hope that our featured authors bring light, hope, understanding, and new perspectives during our uncertain times.
The keynote speaker for this elegant affair will be Brandon Leake, an author and the first spoken word artist winner of America's Got Talent (Season 15). Nicole Steward the author of Radical Self-Care will also join the Literary Gala. The gala includes dinner and amazing entertainment throughout the evening.
We hope that you and your friends will attend this magical gala and participate in our FUNdraising event. Donations, ticket sales, corporate sponsorship and an exciting fund-a need experience are ways that you can support the efforts of the San Jose Links.
The Gala directly supports community service programs and two cornerstone scholarship initiatives:
- Our Alice E. Foster scholarship is focused on supporting foster youth who are pursuing higher education at two and/or four year institutions. The scholarship and mentorship of our foster youth continues with them until they graduate.
- Our Links to Success scholarship is focused on African American high school graduates who are also pursuing higher education. This scholarship is disbursed each semester for the first year of their enrollment.
We continue to see the results of our efforts as our scholars graduate college and speak about the impact our scholarships had on their success. You will hear from several of our scholars during the Gala.
Your donations are greatly appreciated and will make a difference in the lives of youth as the San Jose Chapter of The Links, Incorporated continue our legacy of transforming the Santa Clara County community through dedicated services for the underserved and underrepresented.
All donations will support our scholarships for local youth, charitable and educational programs. Proceeds benefit The Links Foundation, Incorporated, an IRS 501(c)(3) organization.
