Literacy Lessons: Supplemental Activities to Support Learning (PreK-3)

Join us once a month to learn new tips and tricks to enhance your child's literacy skills. Each month we will introduce a new strategy and activity to work on with your child. Whether you're a teacher, parent, or caregiver, this event is perfect for anyone looking to make learning fun and interactive. The strategies introduced in our seminar will assist parents/teachers with supporting their student(s) with applying new skills, building vocabulary, improving critical thinking and comprehension...all while providing supplemental practice.

Our activities seek to provide a healthy curiosity and/or challenge that is often identified with an effective connection to the conent. Finding moments to reinforce learning provides opportunities to build mastery, interest, and student confidence. All three have a positive impact on student peformance.

Many strategies can be used in a non-structured environment such as, on a car or bus ride, over lunch, or when shopping in a store. Others might need some scheduled or premediated structured space.
