Workshop Overview

  • Introduction to Lino Block Printmaking
  • Getting familiar with printmaking tools and materials.
  • Learn techniques for transferring your design from sketch to lino block.
  • Safe and effective methods for carving your design into the block.
  • Applying ink and printing your design on paper.
  • No experience necessary. All levels are welcome.
  • Participants will receive all necessary tools and materials.
  • You will leave the workshop with a completed Lino block print.

What's Included:

  • All necessary tools & materials: lino blocks, carving tools, ink, and paper.
  • Two 3x4 lino blocks and archival cotton paper for printing.
  • Gloves and aprons to use during the printing process.

  • Liability Waiver & Photo Release Form: By attending this workshop, you agree to our Liability Waiver and Photo Release Form.
  • Minimum Age Requirement: Suggested minimum age is 14 years. Sharp cutting tools will be used during this workshop; it is recommended there be a confident level of hand coordination to prevent injury. PARENT(S)/GUARDIAN(S) you have the knowledge on the level of skill and coordination of your child. Please contact if you have questions regarding suggested age of participants.
  • Parent/Guardian Attendance: Minors 14-17 years must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Parent(s)/guardian(s) must sign liability waiver(s) for any minor and must be present for the entirety of the workshop.
  • Allergen Warning: Please be aware that some materials used in this workshop may cause possible skin irritation or potential allergic reactions. Gloves and masks will be available.

Liz Ortiz, founder of Mad Hare Press, is a skilled printmaker with a BFA in Photo Image Making and Printmaking. Her workshops are designed to foster creativity in participants of all skill levels.

What's the refund policy?

Due to the nature of the workshop and limited spots, we have a no-refund policy. However, you may transfer your ticket 48 hrs prior to the workshop to another person or another workshop if you cannot attend. Please contact us via thehare@madharepress.com for transfer requests.

Do you take Venmo or Apple Pay?

Contact: thehare@madharepress.com to discuss alternative payment methods. Payment must be made prior to the event date to hold your spot for the Workshop. Participants can wait for day of payment, however, a spot is not guaranteed. Promo code only counts towards Eventbrite payments.

What are my parking options at Wolverine Farm Publick House?

Wolverine Farm is located in Upstairs at 316 Willow St. Fort Collins, CO. There is diagonal parking on Willow and neighboring streets. The parking should be free on the weekend but please check all signs upon parking!

How do I get to Wolverine Farm?

Wolverine Farm is located on Willow street across from Ginger and Baker on the west side of Linden Street. The Event will be upstairs and is NOT ADA ACCESSIBLE.

What can I bring into the event?

Feel free to bring any personal images or sketches for inspiration. All other materials will be provided.

Do I need prior art experience to attend?

No prior art or printmaking experience is necessary. This workshop is designed for beginners and experienced artists alike.

Can I purchase a ticket for my child(ren) under the age of 18 yrs for a workshop?

Workshops have a minimum suggested age based on safety & tools being used. Anyone over the suggested age is welcome to participate. However, all minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of the workshop. A ticket must be purchased for everyone who plans to participate.

Is this Venue ADA Accessible?

While Wolverine Farm’s cafe downstairs is ADA Accessible, the space in which the Workshop will be held is Upstairs and only accessible by Stairs. The Upstairs area is NOT ADA ACCESSIBLE. I apologize for the inconvenience.
