LinkedIn with Lindsay: Constructing an Impactful LinkedIn Profile
Bring your laptop and come ready to put your online presence in motion as we build your LinkedIn profile together, step-by-step.
Join Lindsay Silverman, VP of Talent Acquisition for Regions Bank, for a one-hour hands-on workshop on how to build an attractive LinkedIn profile and use the power of your network to enhance your job search.
Who should attend?
All Veterans, Military Spouses and Dependents, and Transitioning Service Members seeking professional or skilled technical careers in the private and non-DoD public sectors.
What to expect:
This is a hands-on-keys workshop! Together, we will establish your LinkedIn presence as we build and complete each section of your profile. Attendees will be encouraged to share profile content with one another to cultivate ideas, best practices, and provide the group with productive feedback. Once your profile is built, we will begin connecting with others and exploring companies and people of interest to maximize career opportunities and boost your professional online presence.
At the end of the workshop, you will have an appealing professional profile and know how to build your network- with the right connections. LinkedIn is a social network ideal for those seeking professional and/or uniquely skilled technical careers in the private sector.
Required preparation:
To prepare for this workshop you will want to create a LinkedIn account in advance, have 2-3 profile pictures saved in compatible formats (PNG, JPG), and a resume or draft of your resume that includes job history progression. A laptop or similar device, other than a smartphone, will be required to create a profile. The Workforce will provide free wi-fi.
