The National Center for Interpretation is pleased to announce a webinar for Spanish/English court interpreters!

English and Spanish show a number of differences in their structure and use as well as their sociohistorical context. This webinar provides a linguistic overview of English and Spanish, including syntactic and lexical differences and the role of pragmatics and discourse. Also emphasized is the role of bilingualism and multilingualism, language contact, and language variation. Its focus is providing strategies for recognizing and addressing variables in contexts of interpretation.

This webinar is live and instructor-led. Participants are required to actively participant in the workshop.
