About this event
Lightroom CC Photo Editing and Organization
** Note: This class covers Lightroom CC only, not Lightroom Classic **
Adobe introduced Lightroom CC (also sometimes referred to as "Lightroom desktop") as a modern, cloud-focused version of its stalwart Lightroom Classic photo editor. In many ways the apps are similar, but in others — like photo organization and cloud syncing — Lightroom CC breaks with its older, established sibling. In this special 4-hour class, learn the full scope of editing and organizing photos in Lightroom CC, from importing your images to using advanced AI-based replacement and masking tools to make the best versions of your shots. We will also touch on using Lightroom Mobile, the app for iPhone, iPad, and Android phones, since it and Lightroom CC are designed to work together.
Jeff Carlson, the author of the book Adobe Lightroom Course and Compendium (Rocky Nook), is here to make sense of it all. We’ll walk through Lightroom workflows that respect your time and focus on creativity, so you can spend less energy on busywork and get to the fun aspects of editing.
Covered in this class:
- Importing images the smart way
- How to make photo syncing with Creative Cloud work for you
- Photo editing essentials to get great tone and color
- Making black and white conversions
- Enhance: how and why to denoise and upscale raw images
- Get rid of distractions using Lightroom’s AI-based remove tools
- How masking fundamentally changes the way we edit
- Third-party tools to help editing
Feel free to bring a computer with Lightroom CC and your own images if you’d like to refer to them during the class, though they’re not required. Jeff will also have some photos available for download that you can work with outside of class.
4 person minimum. All ticket holders will receive a full refund if we do not meet our minimum requirement. Refund policy: A refund request received up to 24hr prior to start time will receive a full refund. No refunds within 24hr of class start time.
