Join us as we Light Up Thread Lake For The YWCA of Greater Flint!
Calling all kayakers. Get ready to illuminate the night at Thread Lake, Flint MI, with a dazzling display of lights while we support a great cause, The YWCA of Greater Flint.
This is a free event. We ask that you give a donation to the YWCA of Greater Flint. You can do that the day of the event or right here on the donation link. Donations are not mandatory only suggestions.
Everyone who registers with donation will receive a "glow goodie bag which will include a headlamp ". You can pick up your gift starting at 2:00 pm.
We will line up kayaks for launching started at 5:00 pm. All vessels should be in the water by 7:00 pm. We will light up the lake until 9:30 / 10:00 pm.
There will be areas in the park where you can decorate your kayaks. You can pick whatever theme you want. We recommend that you use solar or battery powered art effects and lights.
The YWCA does amazing work in our community, and this event is our way of showing our appreciation. Bring your friends and family for a fun-filled evening of music and lots of lights!

If you would like to volunteer to help out this causeworthy event, you may do so on the ticket page or you can submit an email to vehiclecitykayaks@gmail.com - All volunteers will recieve event T-Shirts the day of the event. We are seeking 10 volunteers.
