Light in the Darkness - Solstice Lanterns and Community Singing

By Center for People and Craft

Overview

Join us for an evening of warmth and connection--making lanterns and lifting our voices with community songleader Sarina Patridge.

Light in the Darkness - Solstice Lanterns and Community Singing

Come to Minneapolis' new folk school, the Center for People and Craft, for a free, drop-in lantern-making workshop from 4-5:45pm. At 5:45, we’ll light our lanterns and walk together outdoors through the darkness and into St. Mark’s Episcopal Cathedral, where renowned songleader Sarina Patridge will lead us in an hour of all-abilities community singing. In the darkest time of the year, this gathering emphasizes community belonging, handcraft, and song as avenues for creating light and joy.

This is a free event. The Center for People and Craft relies on the generosity of the community and welcomes your support.
