Life in the Tidepools at Estero Americano Coast Preserve
By The Wildlands Conservancy | Sonoma Coast Preserves
Overview
Join us in discovering the abundant life in the intertidal zone as explore the remote coastline of the Estero Americano
Ranger Quinn Whisman and Naturalist Joseph Cochrane will help us spot the myriad of creatures that inhabit the intertidal zone as we learn about their strategies for survival. We will hike 3 miles in total to get to and from the tidepools. There will be a steep but short rock scramble down to the sandy beach at the mouth of the Estero, and we will be traversing and climbing over slippery wet rocks as we explore the tidepools.
We will email you if we need to cancel due to heavy rain or an open and flowing Estero mouth.
