Life Design for Writers: 6-Part Practice Series
Overview
What if your creative block wasn’t about willpower, but about flawed design?
Life Design for Writers is a 6-part guided practice series that helps you reconnect with your purpose, navigate resistance, and establish a sustainable writing rhythm that aligns with your real life. Led by certified life design facilitator Rachel Salamanca, this series blends reflection, creative experimentation, and somatic tools to support your writing life from the inside out.
Each session applies one of the six elements of the Mindful Method—a research-informed life design framework rooted in human-centered design, behavior change, and systems thinking.
This is not a class.
It’s a practice space—where creativity meets clarity, and your process meets your personhood.
Who It’s For
This series is for writers of all genres and levels who are:
- Feeling stuck, scattered, or uncertain about their creative path
- Burned out by productivity pressure or unclear expectations
- Ready to build a writing rhythm that works with their life, not against it
- Interested in using reflection, somatic tools, and optional AI support to unlock new creative energy
- Open to exploring how their internal world shapes their external voice
Whether you’re drafting a novel, writing a memoir, building a blog, or re-entering your writing life after a long pause, this series is designed to help you move forward with intention and flow.
What You’ll Walk Away With
- A renewed connection to your purpose and voice
- Clarity about what’s been blocking you—and how to move through it
- Tools to make progress without perfectionism
- A personalized writing rhythm that fits your season of life
- A more profound sense of empathy for yourself and your creative subject matter
- New ways to experiment, reflect, and evolve as a writer
Session Format
Each 90-minute session includes:
- Guided somatic check-in or reflection
- A simple life design exercise
- A solo reflection activity
- Group discussion + optional share-out
- A take-home practice or ritual
The vibe: calm, grounded, non-performative. You can come with messy notes and zero pressure. Cameras on or off. It’s your space.
The Six Sessions

Session 3: DEFINE – Work With What’s Real
Release perfectionism and design from where you are, not where you think you “should” be.
Session 4: CREATE – Experiment With Purpose
Use creative experiments and optional AI tools to explore, play, and unlock new momentum.
Session 5: MEASURE – Reflect Without Judgment
Develop tools to assess progress meaningfully—by energy, insight, and alignment, not just output.
