Description: Continue growing as an LGBTQ+ ally by exploring the real-life experiences of LGBTQ+ people. This session dives into the challenges many LGBTQ+ people face in a mostly cisgender and straight world, with a closer look at what it means to be trans, nonbinary, or gender expansive. You’ll build empathy, strengthen your allyship, and walk away with tools to better support people in your own life.

You’ll learn how to:
• Understand trans and nonbinary lived experiences
• Respect and affirm diverse gender identities
• Recognize and challenge bias against LGBTQ+ people
• Build empathy through active listening
• Approach situations as an active ally
