LFZ aka Sean Smith Performance, Discussion, and Remix by Spencer Owen

Los Angeles-based artist LFZ (Sean Smith) and longtime collaborator Spencer Owen will present a special live event celebrating the release of their new project Mossy Knights. Taking place at the Vintage Synthesizer Museum in Los Angeles on November 14, 2025, the evening will coincide with the album’s worldwide release on streaming platforms.

Mossy Knights bridges ambient synthesis and deep house, blending organic improvisation with detailed electronic composition. The performance will feature LFZ on Minimoog and Mellotron with live looping and effects, creating evolving textures and melodic landscapes. Spencer Owen will then perform a remix of “Mossy Knights (Spencer Owen Refocus)” on MPC, reimagining the piece through rhythm and structure.

Following the performances, the artists will lead an open discussion about their creative and technical process, exploring how the music developed from its earliest sketches to the final recordings. Topics will include compositional design, recording approaches, and the combination of analog and digital instruments that shaped the sound.

The event offers an immersive look into the work of two lifelong collaborators whose shared language of experimentation and melody has evolved over decades of friendship and creative exchange.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to pre-order limited edition vinyl copies of Mossy Knights, available exclusively at the event.

Feel free to bring a pillow or two, yoga mat, etc...as seating will be on the floor.

Psychedelic visuals will be projected on the walls and ceiling.
