LeVolume is the new and exciting project by canadian folk-scenesters and husband and wife dream team Jenny Whiteley and Joey Wright along with the multi-talented and going concern Julian Brown. Between the three of them they have a clutch of Juno Awards, a pair of Gold Records, a peck of Socan #1 Awards, a herd of Canadian Folk Awards Nominations and a murder of Crows. LeVolume’s self-titled, bi-lingual debut double-album is dropping in May, 2025, and the group is hitting the road to celebrate.

Aaron Davis is an eclectic composer, arranger and keyboardist based in Toronto, Canada, who is perhaps best known as a founding member of the Holly Cole Trio and as a composer of music for film. In 1979 he helped found world beat-jazz band Manteca. In the late eighties Davis and bassist David Piltch formed a group with singer Holly Cole. As well as being a co-arranger of the Holly Cole repertoire, and writing some of her songs, Davis has done all of her orchestral arrangements, which have been performed by symphonies across Canada, the U.S. and Japan. He has also done orchestral & choral arrangements for other artists, including Alison Krauss, Natalie McMaster, David Clayton Thomas, Eliana Cuevas, Leahy, the Ennis Sisters, Eleanor McCain, the Canadian Brass, Quartetto Gelato, Sophie Milman, Kevin Breit and the Iseler Singers.

Joey Wright is a Juno-nominated songwriter, composer, multi-instrumentalist and performer from Toronto. Joey is well known for his lyrical and inspired guitar and mandolin playing. He is also highly regarded for his compositions and songwriting.

Joey was one of the leading lights in the explosive bluegrass, old time and traditional country scene in Toronto in the 90’s and 2000’s. Joey joined Jenny Whiteley’s band in 1999, and their first two albums (Jenny Whiteley & Hopetown) both won Juno awards for Best Roots Traditional Album. In 2005 Joey joined Sarah Harmer’s band to record the album I’m A Mountain which earned him a gold record. In 2007 Joey collaborated with Jesse Zubot, Steve Dawson, Dan Whiteley and Joe Phillips to create his own album, Jalopy. Jalopy received a Juno nomination for Best Instrumental Album. He has since recorded the acclaimed albums Hatch, Tuxedo! (with Christine Bougie), Country Music, and Satie on the Beach (with Luke Mercier) among others. Joey is one third of LeVolume
