Level Up Your Crochet: Stitches, Shaping & Projects

Join Mei at Our House for a fun and interactive in-person workshop.

Ready to go beyond the basics? This 1.5-hour workshop is perfect for anyone who knows how to chain, single crochet, and maybe double crochet—but wants to take the next step. Whether you're curious about patterns or feeling stuck on your projects, this is your chance to build confidence and get your questions answered.

We’ll be making a hands-on stitch sampler during class to help reinforce everything you learn. Materials are not included—please bring a ball of medium weight yarn and a matching hook (5mm recommended). At the end of class, there will be time for Q&A, so feel free to bring along a project you’re working on if you’d like help or feedback.

What You’ll Learn:

• How to read written + charted crochet patterns
• New stitches: double crochet, half double crochet, and slip stitch
• Shaping techniques (increasing & decreasing)
• How to work in the round vs in rows
• Why yarn choice matters + how to pick the right one

What to Expect:

We’ll be working on a simple stitch sampler so you can practice your new skills. You’ll also get a helpful printout with pattern-reading tips and links to great crochet resources. Bring any project you're stuck on—we'll have time for Q&A and hands-on help!

What to Bring:

• 1 ball of medium weight yarn (size 4)
• A matching crochet hook (5mm recommended)
