In Level 2, you’ll build on the skills from Intro to Improv and learn how to create grounded, meaningful scenes with strong characters and relationships. This seven-week course focuses on long-form fundamentals, starting with solid two-person scenes and expanding into group work. You’ll also get hands-on practice with "The Armando," a showcase form where truthful monologues inspire improvised scenes.
In this course, you’ll explore:
- Building a clear “base reality” (Who, What, Where)
- Using object work to create environments on stage
- Strong initiations that launch compelling scenes
- Justifying choices & discovering the “why” behind the scene
- Performing The Armando in your student showcase
