In this session, Jen Lau, Director at Fundraising.AI, will highlight the urgent need for Responsible and Beneficial AI in nonprofit fundraising amid declining donor participation and rapid technological change. At Fundraising.AI, they know that AI can solve key fundraising challenges and also that misuse of AI can harm trust and accelerate declines in giving. To address these concerns, Jen will share the first-ever Framework for Responsible and Beneficial AI in Fundraising as well as insights and examples from the 2024 Fundraising.AI Summit. Jen Lau, She/Her/Hers: As Director of Fundraising.AI, Jen supports nonprofits in responsibly integrating AI to maximize impact and boost fundraising outcomes. With over a decade of experience building cross-functional solutions at the intersection of social impact and technology, she is a strong advocate for the use of Responsible and Beneficial AI in nonprofits around the world. Jen began her career in fundraising at New Profit Inc. and has since held leadership roles across the nonprofit and tech sectors, including previous roles at Auth0 and Fluxx where she led business operations, strategy, program management, and product development. She holds a BA from Tufts University and lives in Portland, OR.
Frank Mumford, CFRE He/Him/His: is a fundraiser at heart who found his way into supporting nonprofits through creative software solutions. Frank got his start as a student telethon fundraiser and joined Gratavid after serving as Senior Donor Advisor at The Greater Twin Cities United Way. He serves on the AFP MN Board of Directors and served on the NMU Alumni Association Board, and obtained his CFRE in 2019 after 8 years in the nonprofit sector as a fundraiser and has been in the space for more than 15 years. Frank is Head of Strategic Partnerships at Gravyty, the leader in engagement and fundraising technology.
