“Let Us Rest in the Mystery” – Winter Solstice Ritual

By Unitarian Universalist Church West

Overview

Celebrate the longest night of the year with an evening of earth spirit ritual: singing, poetry, readings, dancing, and celebration.

EarthSpirit Winter Solstice Ritual - Saturday, December 20 at 5 pm

The UUCW EarthSpirit Team and the Solstice Singers and Dancers

Visit us in person at 13001 W. North Ave., Brookfield, WI 53005 or online at https://uucw.org/livestream/

Tune in to the seasons of the earth as we honor the moment when the night is longest here in the northern hemisphere with drumming, darkness, stories, and a powerful earth-based ritual to “call for the sun’s return.” Bring your drums and shakers. Children who can enjoy a dramatic, hour-long worship experience are welcome to attend with their parents or guardians.

Yuletide Potluck
In the spirit of ancient tradition, we welcome all to a Yuletide potluck after the service, where they can join in merry-making. SIGN UP HERE
