Leonard Apa's 'Introducing the Scarlett Scrapper'
By Montclair Book Center
Overview
A boy has witnessed the worst trauma he can suffer. Fearing for his life, he seeks out the only man who can help him, The Scarlet Scrapper!
Set in the 1940’s, Thomas Malloy, after witnessing the murder of his parents, narrowly escapes his own death. He sets out to find the only man that can help him: The Scarlet Scrapper. The only problem is that The Scarlet Scrapper doesn’t exist in the real world, and Frank Hodge, the man who voices him, is no hero; he just plays one on the radio. Hodge, dealing with demons of his own, must decide if he will continue down his own disastrous path, or become the hero that Thomas needs him to be.
