About Sharon Snowden: Sharon Snowden has a BA and MS from the University of Akron, where she also held a K-12 Teaching License. She taught for the University of Akron for over 25 years, Miller South School of Performing Arts, Mount Union College, and owned Sharon Rae Dance School for over 30 years. Sharon is a founding member of the National Dance Society. She has worked with directors Lyle Dye of As the World Turns, and Bob McGrath of Sesame Street.
Sharon belongs to several lineage societies where she has served as State President for Colonial Dames 17th Century and Daughters of the American Colonists. Among other activities, she is a docent at the National First Ladies Historical Site. She presents portrayals all over Ohio of many first ladies and historic women, as well as other programs for children and adults.
