Throughout American history, women have worked to break through the “glass ceiling” – the invisible barriers that limit advancement and equality. In conjunction with the Canton Museum of Art’s exhibition Shattered Glass: The Women Who Elevated American Art (November 2025–March 2026), the National First Ladies Library & Museum presents Legacy Lecture: Cracking the Glass Ceiling from the East Wing.

About the Speaker:

Stephanie Bohnak, Director of Education & Curatorial Services at the National First Ladies Library & Museum, holds an MA in History and Public History from Bowling Green State University. Specializing in women’s history and American enslavement, Bohnak brings a deep understanding of the ways women have shaped—and been shaped by—our nation’s story.
