About this event

Overview: Free Will & Estate Planning Clinic for Low-Income Seniors

The Legacy Initiative is proud to offer a free legal clinic providing basic estate planning services to low-income seniors, including simple wills, financial powers of attorney, and healthcare directives. Our mission is to ensure that every senior has access to essential legal documents that reflect their wishes and provide peace of mind for themselves and their families.

What to Expect

  • Warm Welcome & Check-In: Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by our volunteers and guided through a quick check-in process. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are encouraged to minimize wait times.
  • Intake & Planning Session: You’ll meet with a law student or trained volunteer to complete an intake form and discuss your needs in a short 15–20 minute session, supervised by an attorney.
  • Document Preparation: Your estate planning documents will be prepared on-site by our legal team while you wait.
  • Signing & Notarization: Once completed, you’ll be guided to our signing station where your documents will be reviewed, signed, and notarized.
  • Take-Home Binder: You’ll leave with a professionally organized binder containing your original signed documents and guidance for safekeeping.

Our clinic is confidential, compassionate, and completely free of charge—thanks to the support of community sponsors and legal volunteers.
