📚 Lecture: "Understanding Horror: Why We Crave Terror & the Monstrous"

🎤 Speaker: Prof. Bruce Peabody

Join us for a spine-tingling Halloween season lecture night as Professor Bruce Peabody explores a captivating question: why are we so fascinated by things that go bump in the night? Horror is one of the most beloved genres in fiction, film, and video games, but what explains our obsession with monstrous fear?

In this thought-provoking lecture, Professor Peabody will unravel why we love exploring our dark side through creatures, ghouls, and killers, revealing what this fascination reveals about the human condition.

As a distinguished scholar and professor at Fairleigh Dickinson University, Professor Peabody is the editor or author of six books, including Political Theory on Death and Dying and Beyond the Living Dead: Essays on the Romero Legacy. His insightful work has been featured in major publications such as The Washington Post, The New York Times, and USA Today.

Don't miss your chance to explore the allure of horror with Professor Bruce Peabody!
