📚 Lecture: “Democracy's Inbox: What Emails from Congress Reveal”

🎤 Speaker: Prof. Lindsey Cormack

Join us for an enlightening evening with Professor Lindsey Cormack as we delve into the intriguing realm of congressional communication. Have you ever wondered what the emails your representatives send really mean? This lecture will explore how political leaders frame issues, shape public opinion, and reinforce polarization through their emails to constituents.

Drawing on insights from her project DCInbox, Professor Cormack will uncover messaging patterns in congressional communications and reveal how different parties approach communication. She will discuss what these messaging strategies signal about the future of American democracy.

As an Associate Professor of Political Science at Stevens Institute of Technology, Lindsey is deeply committed to civic education and electoral systems. She has authored several notable works, including How to Raise a Citizen and Congress and U.S. Veterans, with her research featured in The New York Times and The Washington Post.
