Event description

Description

Please join us to hear a presentation on successful civic activism by women given by Karen Olson, co-founder of the Women’s Bridge NGO. Ms. Olson has worked in various U.S. presidential primary and general campaigns, including as a Field Organizer in the 2008 Obama campaign. More recently, she was a Democrats Abroad delegate to the Rules Committee for the Bernie Sanders campaign at the Democratic Convention in July. She has extensive experience in recruiting volunteers for political and social campaigns, and also works with young people with disabilities, empowering them to experience inclusion through theater. She’ll also talk more broadly about useful community organizing techniques and the savvy use of social media platforms in women’s civic activism, based on her own experience.
