Petra Salarić, PhD, is a multi-award-winning researcher, designer, activist, and the founder of pstaboo, the world’s first consultancy specializing in taboo topics with international collaborations across four continents, including partnerships with leading global universities such as Loughborough University (UK), Aalborg University (Denmark), and The Design Village (India); corporations like Atlantic Group and Nestlé; and startups and larger organizations such as Nexi and Canadian Railways. Petra has presented her work at conferences around the world, including the HXD Conference, the UNESCO Learning Planet festival, and major local festivals such as the Weekend Media Festival, Women’s Weekend, Split Tech City, and dm's conference of women’s health.
Petra earned her Master’s degree in Interaction Design (cum laude) from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands and completed her PhD at Loughborough University in the UK. Her framework for addressing taboo topics is the only one of its kind in the world that provides guidance on how to navigate taboos within projects.
Named by FemTech India among the 200 most influential voices in women’s health, Petra is also a UN Women UK delegate, a partner at the Menopause Global Alliance, and leads Croatia’s only online abortion support group.
