Lecture & Book Launch with Cory Johnson

Join us for a special lecture and book launch with Cory Johnson, also known as Cory Infinite—a 23-year-old self-taught fashion designer born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri.

During the event, Cory will share the story of how he got started, what inspires his work, and the lessons he's learned throughout his creative journey. He’ll also talk about the making of his new book, a collaboration with photographer Evan Johnson and a local book printer. Every aspect of the book—from concept to print—was proudly produced in Kansas City.

The book features a curated collection of Cory Infinite’s fashion designs, photographed by Evan Johnson and paired with descriptive captions that highlight the meaning and craftsmanship behind each piece.

Twelve of Cory’s original pieces will be on view in a special installation on the museum’s first floor---a visual journey through fabric, form, and fearless imagination.

After the lecture, head downstairs to Elixir and enjoy a complimentary glass of white wine, drip coffee, or house soda. Additional beverages will be available for purchase.
