Our expert instructor will guide you through each step, from selecting materials to stitching and finishing your very own leather book. No prior experience required - all skill levels are welcome!

Prior the the workshop, you will be sent a Leather Bookbing Kit, which includes:

• 1 x Self-healing Crafting Mat
• 1 x Bone folder & paper curler (for creasing, folding & smoothing)
• 1 x Awl (for punching sewing holes)
• 1 x Bookbinding needle
• 1 x Strong waxed thread (for sewing signatures)
• 1 x 30cm metal ruler
• 1 x Craft scissors
• 1 x Block of Beeswax (for waxing thread)
• 1 x Pencil
• 1 x Printed instructions
• 1 x Sewing template (to sew signatures)
• 24 x Sheets of paper for signatures
• 1 x Sheet of genuine leather

You will also need:

• Some scrap cardboard
• Craft knife (optional)
• Refreshments

Terms and Conditions

Workshops

• Online workshops available (2-3 hours) via Zoom (camera, mic & speakers required)

Delivery

• Postage included in the listed price
• Secure packaging to avoid damage
• Orders usually dispatched within 2 working days (UK only)
• Booking Deadline: All event bookings will close one (1) week prior to the scheduled workshop to allow adequate time for the delivery of kits.
• Postage Delays: We use reliable postage services; however, we are not responsible for any delays caused by postal services once the kits have been dispatched.
• Non-Attendance: If you are unable to attend your scheduled workshop, please contact us as soon as possible to discuss alternative arrangements.
• Rescheduling: Requests to reschedule are handled at our discretion and may be subject to availability and other conditions.
• As a small family business, dispatch times may vary during busier periods

Product Variations

• Colours and items may vary depending on suppliers
• No guarantees on colours, finishes, or exact items
• All sizes are approximate and measured in the buyer’s favour

Refunds & Returns

• No returns/exchanges for colour or material variations
• Damaged kits: contact within 7 days (with photos) for resolution
• Returns/refunds at the discretion of The Crafting Room

Leather Materials (where included)

• 100% genuine cowhide upholstery-grade chrome-tanned leather & suede
• Leather is natural – may include marks, scars, blemishes, or creases
• Shade & grain vary by hide
• Colours may display differently on screens

Cancellations & Attendance

• At least 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may still be charged in full.
• If the tutor must cancel, an alternative session will be offered at no extra cost.
• Repeated non-attendance or lateness may result in termination of services.

Termination & Removal

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate workshop services immediately in the event of:

• Repeated lateness or non-attendance
• Breach of behaviour expectations
• Failure to pay fees on time
• Inappropriate use of Zoom or any safeguarding concerns
• In such cases, no refunds will be issued for missed or remaining sessions.

Liability

• While every effort is made to ensure a safe and productive learning environment, The Crafting Room LTD accepts no liability for technical failures, internet issues, or circumstances beyond our control.
• Tutoring is designed to support learning, but outcomes cannot be guaranteed.

Agreement

By booking a session with The Crafting Room LTD, you confirm that you (and your child, if under 18) have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
