This session will highlight how Southwark’s Lifelong Links service supports children in care and care leavers to build and sustain the relationships that bring belonging, permanence and stability. Lifelong Links helps young people reconnect with family, friends and other important people; from relatives they may not have met to trusted adults like former carers, teachers or social workers. By restoring these vital ties, young people can strengthen their support networks and develop the foundations they need for the future.
'Power of Connections' will showcase the impact of Lifelong Links through real-life examples from Southwark, demonstrating how even one reconnection can grow into a network of sustainable relationships.
