"Hey, I've got a sewing machine... now what?"
Bring your sewing machine to class.
This class is designed for folks who have a sewing machine, but lack the experience/confidence to use it as much as they want to.
Has your sewing machine been lurking at the back of the closet too long? Is it time to learn how to use it better? We will go step by step over the basics of thread, needles, stitch length, stitch width, straight stitch, zig-zag, blind hem, zippers – even making buttonholes!
You will create samples of all the stitches and the settings you used to make them – a handy reference for when you want to do that blind hem – "what was the stitch length, stitch width, and what foot did you use?" It will all be right there!
You will need a sewing machine in good working order – it turns on, the needle moves, etc. Questions? Email: fiberarts@sparkmakerspace.org
If you have the machine's manual, please bring it with you. Many manuals are available online to download!
