This Spring 2023 semester, we are thrilled to introduce our new beginner friendly MONTHLY VOGUE FEMME WORKSHOPS SERIES where our CCNY community will learn from talented artists from legendary houses throughout NYC. These dates and facilitators include:

Thursday, February 2, 6-7pm with Baby Oricci
Tuesday, March 14, 12:30pm-1:30pm with London Balenciaga
Thursday, April 27,12:30pm-1:30pm with Sajuan Scott, The Legendary East-Coast Mother of the Iconic International House of Old-Navy
Thursday May 4, 12:30pm-1:30pm with Zenith LaBeija

Each workshop will be held in Wingate Room 104. Free refreshments provided.

Vogue workshops are open to all CCNY and CUNY students, staff, and faculty. Non-CUNY folks may attend as a guest of a CUNY individual, but must make sure they bring their Government ID in order to be let in CCNY buildings.

Baby Oricci is an artist from Queens who is very passionate about the ballroom community. Her first and only house she joined in 2019, was a founding member, The Royal House of Nina Oricci founded by the Legendary Omari and Gillette. The first ball she walked was Virginia Take Me Back in 2019, where she won virgin performance. Since then, she has won 2 OTYs in the south and was nominated for 4 OTYs in total for Woman’s Performance. She has added categories she has walked and wants to do more consistently, including Old Way, Sex Siren and Commentator. London Mulan Born and raised in the Bronx, NY to Jamaican parents, Legendary Mother London Mulan is an African-American transwoman, dancer, model, actress, and budding social media influencer. As the Overall Mother of The Imperial Kiki House of Hua Mulan, London has earned many trophies and accolades for her successful competition in ballroom categories including realness, face, fashion, and vogue. Moreover, London was the first $1,000 winner for sex siren in the kiki ballroom scene. London is also a member of the mainstream ballroom House of Balenciaga. Since 2018, London has been featured in several campaigns and stared in several television shows including, POSE (FX) seasons I-III; My House (Viceland) season I; Coach and Nordstrom 2021 Pride Campaigns; and the Hetrick-Martin Institute's Women Speak 2022.
