Learn to turn using high-performance "traditional" HSS tools! In this 2- or 4-day class (details below), you'll get ten hours of hands-on practice using steel tools to cleanly shear-cut wood; enough time to get a "feel" for using the tools and develop the skill and muscle memory to continue developing those skills at home. Along the way, you will make a handle to complete a server (pizza cutter, pie server, or ice cream scoop) and a turn bowl as well. Topics covered include use of steel tools for shear cutting and scraping, sharpening, both "spindle" and "faceplate" style turning techniques, finishing turned projects, and more!
