This class is designed for a full day of learning routers and router tables. In the morning you will learn about using a hand-held router in woodworking. We'll cover everything about the machine and how to choose the best router for any size project. The class will also cover bit selection, techniques and basic cuts, template use, inlays, joinery, and jigs. Once you see all the things a router can do and how to use it, you won’t hesitate to use routers in all of your projects. There will be a break for lunch. In the afternoon, we’ll learn about using router tables. We’ll discuss the different table types, how to set one up, and then get some hands-on experience with an expert. We will show you how to safely make both fenced and freehand cuts, as well as some of the options for joinery and decorative edging available only on the router table. Book your spot today!

Are there any age restrictions for this class?

This class requires the use of power tools, which requires the attendee to be 14 years or older. Attendees below 18 years must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or legal guardian throughout the entire class. If a parent or legal guardian is required to attend, only 1 ticket is required.

Do I need any safety equipment or special clothing?

Safety glasses or face shields, hearing protection, gloves, and dust respirators will be provided free of charge as needed. No loose clothing should be worn, long sleeves should be rolled up, long hair should be tied back. No open-toed shoes can be worn during classes.
