Fall Pickleball: Learn the Game, Love the Game 🏓

Join us for a fun and welcoming pickleball class designed for absolute beginners and casual players! Whether you're 8 or 80, this 3-week course will teach you how to serve, score and succeed on the court - no experience or athetic background required. This class will be held Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:00-6:30 September 8th through September 24th.

This class includes access to 8 group class sessions. This class offers an exclusive partnership with Squatch Threads pickleball paddles. You have the option to rent equipment (at no additional cost) or purchase a discounted paddle through Squatch Threads.

How to Get There: Parking and Directions 🗺️

The SUU Pickeball courts are located at 505 W Harding Ave in Cedar City, Utah. Please utilize the parking lot directly Southeast of the courts or street parking. Please do not park in the marked fire zones.3

Frequently asked questions

What do I need to bring?

SUU will provide the equipment, but if you have your own, bring it! You will be given the option to rent, purchase or bring your own equipment when you check out. Wear comfortable athletic shoes and bring a water bottle, too!

Do I need to be experienced?

No, not at all! This is a beginner level course that teaches the basic skills and is open to all activity levels and all ages, from 8 to 80!

Do I need to attend all 8 sessions?

We know life gets busy - don't worry! Follow up with your instructor to discuss any missed content so you can jump back in without falling behind. We recommend you attend as many sessions as possible to avoid missing necessary skills.

What ages can participate?

Anyone 8 and older is welcome! We welcome families, grandparents, and college students alike!

Where is the class held?

This class is held on SUU's campus at the Pickleball courts near the J.L. Sorenson P.E. Building. There is street parking nearby on Harding Ave or a free lot located on Center Street/University Blvd.
