From Boardroom to Brushstrokes: How I Found My Joy in Bob Ross® Painting Classes (And Why You’ll Love It Too!)

Hi, I’m Jen—artist, mountain lover, and firm believer that it’s never too late (or too early) to pick up a paintbrush.

Art isn’t just a hobby for me. It’s part of who I am. Over the years, I’ve dabbled in everything from photography and embroidery to bold acrylics. But it wasn’t until I discovered oil painting in the alla prima style—what Bob Ross fans know as wet-on-wet—that everything just… clicked.

Now I teach Bob Ross® painting classes once a month at Ethan’s Gallery & Studio in the heart of Olde Town Arvada. And let me tell you, there’s nothing more rewarding than watching someone walk in nervous and walk out with their very own masterpiece.

You don’t need any experience. You don’t need fancy supplies. Just a willingness to try something new and a few hours to let joy surprise you.

When I’m not painting, you’ll find me in my home studio in Golden, Colorado, hanging out with my husband Will and our pup Zoe, leading Bible studies with amazing women, or heading up marketing for a commercial real estate firm. (Yes, artists can wear business pants too!)

I’m endlessly inspired by God’s creation—and I want to help you capture that beauty on canvas, even if you’ve never painted before.
