Learn to Hunt Deer 101

Join us at Clinton Lake SRA for this free, hands-on workshop for adults where you'll learn all about deer hunting in Illinois in a short hands-on workshop.

This is an introductory level course for adults who are interested in hunting deer in Illinois. We will go over hunting regulations, finding a spot to go, hunting methods, deer stand safety, scouting, after the shot and discuss butchering and cooking.

Be dressed to be outdoors for the entire workshop. Whenever possible we do things hands-on so dress appropriately and dont forget your bug spray, snacks and water.

Illinois is known as a deer state and hunting can be fantastic. Whether you are after big bucks or to fill your freezer, Illinois has what you are looking for. We have less public land in Illinois than in many Midwestern states but we can show you our tips and tricks to find open and productive public land that you can hunt.

There is a lot that goes into deer hunting, we will try to break it all down simply in this hands-on FREE workshop.

Adults (18 and over) only, registration is required.

See you there!
