Our next Learn to Lift workshop will cover the bench press, the second of the competitive powerlifts. Even if you're not a powerlifter, the bench press can help you build incredible strength and upper body muscle mass. One of the most common weight room movements, many people perform it incorrectly or sub-optimally - and we can fix that!

This workshop will help you learn:

  • The fundamental skills applicable to any type of bench press
  • How to discover your own unique bench technique based on your body type and experience level
  • How to self-identify technique errors so you can self-coach and steadily improve your technique
  • The best ways to bench press to keep your shoulders and elbows healthy

About the Coach

Tony Bonvechio is the owner and head coach of Bonvec Strength, greater Worcester's premiere strength training facility. With 13 years of powerlifting experience, Tony has achieved elite status in the 90kg class and Master's status in the 100kg class. As a coach, Tony has helped hundreds of lifters succeed on and off the powerlifting platform, including multiple national record holders. Tony earned his Master's degree in exercise science from Adelphi University in 2013.
