Want to learn Shibari Rope tequniques? Also known as kinbaku, is an art form that involves the intricate tying of rope around a person's body to restrain, suspend and create various shapes and designs. While shibari has been practiced for centuries in Japan, it wasn’t until the early 1900’s that we started to openly seggsualize it as er0 tic art .
Bondage, in general, has gained popularity around the world as a way for people to explore their seggsuality, power and express themselves creatively.
Rope Marks class at St Pete Retreat is led by the talented and experienced rope artists, Mark and Regal, who have been practicing shibari for over a decade.
Rope Marks is a comprehensive course that covers everything from basic knots to more advanced techniques, and is suitable for both beginners and experienced practitioners.
All skill levels are welcomed to attend.
There is something for everyone, tops and bottoms!
This can be a great way to connect with your partner and build intimacy and trust or just have fun with a friend. It can also be a way to explore your own desires and boundaries in a safe and consensual way. Additionally, the practice of shibari can be a deeply meditative and calming experience, allowing you to enter into a state of mindfulness,relaxation and sub-space.
We will be teaching basic techniques and general rope safety beginning at 7pm sharp.
An intermediate lesson will be given between 8-9pm.
There will be open rope practice / rope lab from 9-11pm.
Please note this is a learning and educational environment, and as such, many normal scene related protocols will be exchanged for open communication for the purpose of teaching. This is NOT a party .
It is a class designed to give you confidence by teaching you the building blocks of rope in a safe, consensual, knowledgeable way.
New people come by themselves all the time so don't be shy!
As always feel free to invite a friend out to join you in your bondage experience.
Folx usually bring a snack to share.
Hot and cold water is available so save a cup and bring your refillable bottle or tea cup.

No you do not need to have your own rope to attend and participate. We have plenty of rope you can try out. we teach you about different kinds of rope and this will help you decide what kind of rope you want to purchase for yourself in the future
You may attend the class solo or with a friend or partner. Attending solo is a great way to meet new people and continue building connections.
