Our modern calligraphy workshop is designed for beginners. You’ll learn everything from how to hold the pen to forming basic strokes, letters, and words.

What is included in the workshop?

Included is 90 minutes of workshop instruction. You’ll also receive our carefully curated Calligraphy Essentials Kit, which includes a pointed pen nib, nib holder, ink, exemplars, practice guides, and papers—all yours to keep! We've tried everything and picked the best materials for beginners.

How long is the workshop?

Our introductory classes run for 90 minutes —plenty of time to learn, practice, and get individual guidance.

What should I bring?

Just bring yourself and curiosity! All materials will be provided with your admission. You may want to wear something comfortable and avoid light-colored sleeves—ink can sometimes be sneaky!

What’s the age recommendation?

Workshops are generally best for adults or teens 15+ due to the fine motor skills required and use of ink. Ticket admission is the same price for adults and teens over 15. For safety reasons, children under 18 must be accompanied with a ticketed adult.

Will I really be able to write calligraphy by the end?

Yes! You will leave with foundational calligraphy skills and samples for projects like envelopes or journaling. We'll cheer your progress! Join our private Facebook group post-class for follow-up questions, sharing projects, ongoing tips, and connecting with local calligraphy lovers.

What if I can't make it after booking?

Due to the nature of the workshop event and the preparation of personalized materials, all ticket sales are final and non-refundable. If you’re unable to attend, you’re welcome to transfer your seat to a friend—just let us know in advance!
