A Networking masterclass and practical workshop to make networking work for you.


Trainer: Lucy Marks, Managing Director, Norfolk Network

To accelerate professional and business success everyone needs new business contacts and to build an influential network. Learning how to do this, in a way that gets you the results you want, isn’t always easy. This class focuses on passing on that knowledge, enabling you to get the most out of future networking opportunities.

This training will teach you how to maximise your networking efforts and is targeted at those who are new to networking or need to improve their skills.

Format and content

The 3 hour session will be a balance of teaching, exercises, discussion and networking practice.

It will include:

  • Setting a networking strategy

  • How to prepare for networking

  • Network etiquette and behaviour

  • Creating opportunities

  • The importance of following up

  • Cultivating your network

  • Using LinkedIn as a networking platform

10.30am-10.45am: Refreshments

10.45am-11.30am: Part 2 - Skills teaching and group activities

11.30am-12.00pm Networking Practice

12.00pm-12.15pm Final discussion and close

About Lucy

Lucy is Managing Director of Norfolk Network, a successful and ever-growing networking group of like-minded business professionals. Lucy has been a prominent networker in the local business community for the last 15 years, and since 2010 she has run networking training for diverse professional groups including freelancers, startups, lawyers, scientists, NHS professionals and students in Further and Higher Education.

Lucy has built the Norfolk Network into a vibrant community where people can be inspired, learn and build quality business relationships. She is passionate about discovering, championing and connecting people.
