Learn D&D: Play Session
Learn D&D: Session 0 is required prior to attendance.
Now that you’ve forged your hero in our Learn D&D:Session 0 workshop, it’s time to bring them to life! This session is the next step in your journey — a hands-on Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) gameplay workshop using the brand-new 2024 system.
In this drop-in/drop-out style campaign adventure, you’ll step into your character’s boots and experience the thrill of collaborative storytelling, dice-rolling drama, and party-based problem solving in our ever-expanding world of Aetheria. Guided by experienced Dungeon Masters Alexzavier and Shada, you’ll learn how the updated D&D 2024 rules come alive in play — from bold combat encounters to clever roleplay and everything in between.
By the end of this workshop, you’ll have guided your character through quests, gained hands-on experience with the D&D 2024 system, and discovered the excitement of shared storytelling.
Note: Completion of the “Learn D&D: Session 0” workshop is required before attending this session.
As part of Learn D&D: Play Session, you'll learn about the following by actual play in the D&D system:
- The Flow of Play: How to navigate exploration, combat, and social encounters in D&D 2024.
- Teamwork and Table Etiquette: Tips for collaboration, spotlight sharing, and keeping the adventure fun for everyone.
- Rules in Action: A practical introduction to the new mechanics and streamlined gameplay features.
- Roleplaying with Confidence: How to think, speak, and act as your character in the heat of adventure.
- A Short Adventure: Put your character to the test in a beginner-friendly quest filled with choices, challenges, and creativity.
- Aetheria: The world we play in

👋 Meet Alexzavier!
Alexzavier has been running D&D sessions for more than 15 years. He has run everything from D&D and Pathfinder to more obscure systems like Shadowrun and BESM for groups of every size.
Alexzavier is a self employed craftsmen making and painting high quality 3D miniatures and terrain! He's been 3D printing for just about 2 years, and painting miniatures for about 5.
Alexzavier is also a local advocate for the Loot Studio's developed table top game Malediction. A new miniature wargame that combines elements of a Card Game like Magic the Gathering with Miniature Wargaming.

Hi, I am Shada, the Greenskin of Greenskin Greatworks. I make custom, reliable gaming equipment from leather and wood. In my spare time I like to play games and do 3D modeling for my partner, Alexzavier.
I have been playing in TTRPG's for over 15 years and running them for nearly 10 years. I have played in and run everything from D&D and Pathfinder to the more obscure Vampire the Masquerade and BESM.
