Learn Cut Flower Garden Planning at Interactive Workshop
Overview
Grow bouquets straight from your backyard.
Join us on Saturday, March 7 from 9:30–11:00 a.m. for a fun, educational class where you’ll learn how to dream, design, and grow your very own cut flower garden. Whether you're brand new to gardening or already have dirt under your nails, this workshop will give you everything you need to create a patch of blooms you can harvest all season long.
This class is led by Trevor Bradshaw, one of Gardens of Babylon’s longtime designers and plant experts. With 15+ years of gardening experience—and several years working in a professional flower shop—Trevor brings a unique blend of horticultural know-how and floral design insight. He’ll walk you through choosing the right varieties, understanding bloom times, planning for continuous harvests, and incorporating flowers native to Tennessee for a beautiful, sustainable garden.
You’ll also learn how to map out a simple layout, how to prep your soil, and the best tips for caring for cut-flower favorites—from cheerful zinnias and cosmos to native TN blooms that thrive with minimal fuss. The goal? To leave you inspired and confident to start growing.
Every attendee will go home with free flower seed packets to kickstart their garden, plus helpful planning guides you can use all season.
If you’ve ever dreamed of stepping outside and gathering a fresh bouquet for your table (or for a friend), this class is for you. Come grow something beautiful with us!
